If you hail from Kent, then you'll know what a Gypsy Tart is! School dinners back in the day used to serve it up twice weekly and any baker worth their salt will also stock them. It's my guilty pleasure. If you have a sweet tooth like me, then you'll love it! So I obviously wanted to make a cocktail that paid homage to the dessert of my youth and here it is in the form of a White Russian.
This ready to drink cocktail is made with a blend of vodka, Demerara rum, espresso and the key ingredients of a good Gypsy Tart - Evaporated milk and Muscavado sugar, balanced out with oat milk.
Either pour straight out of the bottle over ice, or shake it to get a lovely froth and top with cocoa powder.
