Created by Julio Bermejo in the early ’90s at Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant, a popular hang out in San Francisco since the early 60's. This drink simply focuses on three ingredients. Great tequila, fresh lime and sweet Agave nectar. The drink is shaken and served over ice.
I use Ocho single field tequila as my tequila of choice, and organic Agave nectar which balances with the lime.
For best results, chill the bottle in the freezer for an hour an liberally pour over ice and garnish with a lime wheel for a delicious full strength Margarita where you truly get to appreciate the flavour profiles of the tequila.
